Fall Classes
Fall classes provide a studio learning experience for children and families where time in the studio becomes a part of the weekly routine. We will begin with introductions to the different media and move toward longer term projects with a focus on of the creative process.

After School Studio
Mondays 1:45-3:15 p.m. September 13 - December 13 (12 weeks) Ages 5-12
Wednesdays 4-5:30 p.m. September 15 - December 8 (12 weeks) Ages 7-12
Tuition:$300 or $100 payments (due at first class, Oct 1, Nov 1)
This class will provide working studio time for students. Students can choose from media available in the studio each week or can work with on a single project or skill over the course of the class. For example some students will choose to focus on drawing or developing pottery skills. The idea is to introduce a variety of artistic processes, allowing students to work from individual interests and bring in ideas that connect to their learning in school and at home. Materials introduced will include paint, clay, collage, drawing, and printing.

Art Explorers - Journey Through Artistic Media
Ages 18 months to 5 accompanied by a parent or caregiver
All classes run for a 12 week session; no class Thanksgiving week
Mondays 10 to 11 a.m., September 13 - December 13 (no class Columbus Day)
Tuesdays 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., September 14 - December 14 (no class Election Day)
Thursdays 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., September 16 - December 9
Friday 10 to 11 a.m., September 17 - December 10
Tuition:$240 or $80 payments (due at first class, Oct 1, Nov 1)
Five class pass $100 or $25 per class to drop-in
Our youngest artists will work with a parent or caregiver to explore clay, paint, collage, line, color, and shape through activities that are collaborative, open-ended and encourage imaginative play. The materials will be presented as a starting point for the adult and child to interact in an open studio environment. Art tools will be introduced and techniques demonstrated with different media. Documentation will be used to reflect on the learning process and record the children’s ideas and interests over the course of the class.

Art Explorers 2 - Extending Explorations
Ages 3 to 5
Thursdays 10:45 to 11:45 a.m., September 16 - December 9 (12 weeks)
Tuition:$240 or $80 payments (due at first class, Oct 1, Nov 1)
This class is designed for students who have attended the art explorers class and are ready for a more independent experience. The focus will be on continuing exploration of materials and building relationships with peers through the creative experience. Chidlren should be potty-trained and ready for a drop-off class. Art explorers is a recommended prerequesite for this class so young children are comfortable in the studio.

Art in the Afternoon
Ages 3-6
Thursdays 1:15 to 2:30 p.m., September 16 - December 9 (12 weeks)
Tuition:$240 or $80 payments (due at first class, Oct 1, Nov 1)
Children in half day preK and kindergarten programs enjoy studio time in the afternoon. Children should be potty-trained and comfortable separating from a parent.
Beginning with an introduction to materials and processes available in the studio we will work toward longer term projects, collaborating with peers and building layers in our work over the course of the session. Materials and processes offered will include drawing, painting, clay, collage and printmaking.

Evening Drawing Studio
Wednesdays 7-8:30 p.m. October 27 - December 8 (6 weeks)
Ages 10 and up
Tuition:$150 for 6 classes
This class will focus on strategies for seeing to practice drawing from observation. Geared toward adults and older children interested exploring drawing techniques and beginning a drawing practice.

Jewelry Making Workshop
Tuesdays 11 am - 12:30 pm November 9 and 16 (2 weeks)
Ages 15 and up
Tuition:$50 for 2 classes, $30 for a single class
This class will focus on the basic skills of jewelry making in a relaxed workshop setting allowing participants to create jewelry based on their personal preference of colors and artistic glass bead types. Learn to create earring sets and pendants. All tools will be available for class. Beads, spacers, and hardware are included in tuition. Feel free to bring your own personal selection of beads, spacers, etc. to use as well.
